The theme for NLA 2022 is Literacy, Libraries, and The Civil Society
Libraries cultivate literacy for all ages. Literacy is a skill, but also a life-long practice of discovery, learning, and joy. Literacy has specific outcomes for personal and societal well-being by promoting participation to culture and society. It creates a sense of security and strengthen the democratic base of our communities.
The conference will consider how reading has changed. What are the challenges of literacy and literacy practices for young people, for example? And are libraries still important pillars of literacy?
More information about the conference will be published in August 2022.
