The 2019 International Image Interoperability Framework (IIIF) Conference will be held June 24th to 28th in Göttingen, Germany, hosted by the University of Göttingen / Göttingen State and University Library.

What is IIIF?

Embraced by a growing number of the world’s leading research and cultural heritage organizations, IIIF provides an open framework for organizations to publish their image and audio/video based resources, to be viewed, cited, annotated, and compared by any compatible viewing application.

Who is it for?

These events will be valuable for cultural heritage, STEM institutions, repository and collection managers, software engineers; and for anyone engaged with image-based and A/V resources on the Web. If you have not been involved with IIIF in the past, these events are a great opportunity to quickly get up to speed and understand the community and its benefits. For more experencied attendees it is a great place to get the pulse of the community and see the latest and greatest developments.
