DESCRIPTION:Description\nThe International Image Interoperability Framework (IIIF) allows cultural heritage organisations to share and use digital collections easily. The National Library of Finland is implementing the IIIF standard in its digi.nationallibrary.fi and Finna.fi -services to enable better interoperability and improve the usability of its collections internationally for various audiences. As a national digital service provider\, the NLF will also share any lessons learned with its network\, especially the Finnish cultural heritage community. \nThe managing director of the IIIF Consortium Martin Kalfatovic will visit Helsinki on September 18th 2025 to get acquainted with the Images in Dialogue -project and the Finnish IIIF-landscape. During his visit Martin will give a talk on how cultural heritage organisations are taking advantage of IIIF-collections and applications in their daily work. In this event we will also give a status update of the National Library’s IIIF implementation project. DESCRIPTION:The DARIAH Annual Event 2025 will be dedicated to the topic of The Past. We are looking for contributions that leverage Digital Humanities approaches to analyse\, interpret\, and present historical and archaeological data. Whether through digital methods\, workflows\, archives\, computational analysis\, interactive media\, or other digital means\, we seek to highlight innovative approaches to studying the past. \nThe Annual Event will be held in person in Göttingen\, Germany\, June 17-20. The event will be hosted by the Göttingen State and University Library (SUB Göttingen). June 17th will be a day for DARIAH internal meetings\, followed by the conference on June 18th to June 20th. Accepted submissions are expected to be presented in-person. The call for papers is now open! \n\n\n\n\nDARIAH is a European Research Infrastructure for the Humanities and Arts.
